To notify the Council of an abandoned car or dumped rubbish, call (03) 9209 6777 or email assist@portphillip.vic.gov.au. New rubbish bins can be acquired from the Council. 

Unwanted household items, including paint, oil and old batteries, white goods, mattresses and used plastic plant pots, can be taken to the Port Phillip Resource Recovery Centre in White Street, South Melbourne. Usually free for less than a boot load, and they are open on weekdays and 9am to 1pm on weekends.
